Sunday 26th June saw the Uckfield Rugby Club Founding Fathers make their first donation from the funds raised by them to date. The URFC Founding Fathers are drawn from some of the more senior members of the club and their primary aim is to promote the image of the club through fund raising for local organisations, charities and worthy individuals.
The first recipient of a donation was local resident Sue Miller who recently took part in the Playtex `Moon Walk` a power walk around the London Marathon route to raise funds to help combat Breast Cancer. Sue raised a total of nearly £500 of which the Founding Fathers contributed £100.
