 Our Welsh counterparts were well deserved winners of the ‘Plate’ final while the winners of ‘Cup’ were the Road Runners from Haywards Heath. One of the host sides, The Cock Inn, made it to the quarter final of the cup but were undone by the classy Road Runners. While the former champions and favourites, The Feldinies, were knocked out by runners –up The Cookies Cream in the Cup an exciting semi final. Following the presentation all players and spectators enjoyed the live music in the club house late into the night in which was a well organised and successful tournament.

Uckfield RFC hosted its annual Pub 7’s Tournament last Sunday which was once again a roaring success. Although the weather was dull and somewhat grey the rugby on show was certainly anything but and was thoroughly enjoyed by a large crowd at Hempstead Fields.
The tournament was well attended 16 teams including the usual culprits The Cock Inn (Ringmer), Elephant & Castle (Lewes) and White Horse (Hellingly). It also saw teams from further a field representing Scotland and Wales.
